Sprinkles of Life Corner Fold card

Happy Sunday Stampers!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure, and also an awesome time, participating in a fund raiser for Ronald McDonald Houses of Southwestern Ontario!  My team is just starting up this annual fund raiser for this amazing organization and I was honored to be a part of it.

I did this card and it’s not only fun and versatile, it’s pretty easy with a nice WOW factor to it.

Sprinkles of Life, Corner Fold card

Sprinkles of Life, Corner Fold card for Ronald McDonald House fundraiser

I used the Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life Stamp set, which is our annual Stampin Up Make a Difference set along with our Tree Builder Punch. (With every purchase of this set Stampin UP will donate $3 to Ronald McDonald House.  Cute set, awesome cause how can you resist?  *wink*)

I used our new Tip Top Taupe for the Sentiment, and Versamark to add some detail to the ice cream scoops.

Add in a little sponge flicker to the edges with some Daffodil Delight and Real Red ink pads and you’re all set.  🙂

Here are the instructions for the Corner Fold method I used to make this cute card.

Corner Fold Card Dimensions.

Base Card:
* 1 piece of Daffodil Delight Card stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

For the Insert:
* 1 pieces of Real Red Card Stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
* 1 pieces of Whisper White Card Stock – 3 3/4″ x 5″

For the Front of the Card:
* 1 piece of Whisper White Card Stock – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
* 1 piece of Daffodil Delight Card Stock – 2 5/8″ x 2 5/8″
* 1 piecd of Real Red Card Stock – 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″

To make the Corner fold card we made at the Ronald McDonald House fund raiser you take the Base card stock and score it at 4 1/4″.  This give you the basic/standard card base that we often work with.

Then you move the card stock to the 3″ mark and, using the Stampin Trimmer from Stampin Up, you cut 2 1/2″ mark to the 4 7/8″ mark.  Flip the card and line up at the 3″ mark.  This is at the edge of your finish cut you just made.

Cut from the cut mark to the 5/8″ mark.  This forms the half square cut that you saw in your cards when we did the workshop.  🙂

This is one of the simplest and, I think, most versatile creative folds out there.  🙂

Enjoy!

(Please let me know if I can be of more assistance or if you’d like me to make a video showing how to do this!)

Happy Stampin!
